I’m thrilled to announce the latest pattern addition to Talia’s Crochet Creations: The Breakfast Sweater! The Breakfast Sweater features a waffle textured design that will elevate your Fall/Winter wardrobe your years to come. It’s a cozy raglan that reminiscences relaxed brunches in the city and the lovely, vibrant moments shared with friends!

The sweater is made top-down with minimal seaming and is finished with timeless ribbed details for a stylish and modern appearance. The Breakfast Sweater includes instructions for 9 sizes, but since it’s worked in a top-down fashion, it can be easily modified to fit your needs and wants. To ensure your success at crocheting this sweater, video tutorials are available within the pattern including the option to decrease your sleeves/cuffs with minor interruptions to the waffle design.

I made The Breakfast Sweater with Lion Brand Wool Ease, which is an Aran weight acrylic wool blend. It is 197 yds in solid colors, and they have quite the color palette to choose from. I’ve been using Wool Ease for years and its hands down one of my favorite go-to yarns. However, substitutions are inevitable so when you’re substituting, keep in mind that this waffle design produces a thick cozy fabric, so yarn selection and swatching is quite crucial to the outcome of your sweater. I highly recommend wash blocking your swatch, just to get a good idea of how the fabric will behave afterwards.

Styling this sweater is totally a vibe. I was able to piece together various outfits, which scores high in the versatility department. It looked great with a pair of denim [as pictured], but also with an accordion skirt [which came in 2nd place with your votes], midi skirt, leggings, you name it. I doubt you’ll have any issues with doing the same. I believe The Breakfast Sweater is a piece you’ll reach for time and time again, with ease.
